At Crawley Down Village C of E School all children are valued, respected and welcomed to the school whatever their additional educational needs. We believe that for Special Educational Needs provision to be successful it is essential for children, parents and staff to work closely together and we aim to identify needs as early as possible, believing that early intervention can avoid later difficulties in many cases. Parents are kept fully informed of their child's progress and are encouraged to play an important part in supporting their child's learning. Through a variety of teaching methods and strategies, we aim to make learning fun and accessible for all children.
We achieved the Dyslexia Awareness School Award in December 2010.
